SPORT

Rowing

Rowing is a means of building character. It engenders the best of personal values, life skills and physical development. Furthermore, it is a ‘point of difference’, that can open doors in the future.

Rowing is the ultimate team sport. It challenges the individual to reach beyond their limits both physically and mentally whilst maintaining perfect cohesion and synchronicity within a crew. It demands and fosters discipline, determination, commitment, time management, and leadership; life skills that transfer well into all aspects of life.

Rowing cultivates friendships and camaraderie, giving girls a sense of connection and common purpose. The enthusiasm and support of rowing families are embedded within our culture and help to build a strong community.

Girls have the opportunity to compete at regattas on the Olympic course at the NSW Schoolgirl Head of the River as well as both State and National Championships. Girls can access pathways to State and National crews as well as entry to universities both locally and internationally.

Our aim is for each girl to enjoy the challenges and accomplishments and grow through these experiences, to strive for their personal best in all that they do, and to develop a lifelong appreciation of relationships and enjoyment of physical activity.
