Netball
PLC Sydney has a strong history of participation in both the IPSHA (Junior School) and IGSA (Senior School) Netball competitions. Both programs welcome experienced club & representative players through to players new to the sport and looking to try something new! In recent years, the senior school program has seen the introduction of both competitive and recreational teams for senior players wanting to continue with their Netball throughout their final years of school.
Junior School (IPSHA) Overview
Membership: Years 3–6 via tryouts
Cost: $130, this amount will be billed to students’ school fees account.
When: Term 2
Trials: to be held at PLC Sydney in Thompson Hall
Year 6 - Tuesday March 21, 3.15 pm - 4.45 pm
Year 5 - Thursday March 23, 3.15 pm - 4.45 pm
Years 3 & 4 - Friday March 24, 3.15 pm - 4.30 pm
Training: One weekday after school. More info here once available. A Notice will be sent via PLACES.
On campus, 3.30 pm to 4.45 pm.
Off campus training finishes at 5.00 pm.
Game Days:
Draws here once available. A Notice will be sent via PLACES.
Saturdays, 1-1.5 hours between 8.00 am and 12.00 pm, various venues around Sydney, own transport arrangements are to be made
Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to game start time
Sign in via team sheet, at convenors desk, up on arrival. To be eligible to play semis/finals, students must have played at least three games (signed on).

Equipment: Sport shoes.
Please note that while some walking shoes look like sports shoes, they provide very little to no foot/ankle support dramatically increasing the chance of injury.

Senior School (IGSA) Overview
Membership: Years 7–12 via tryouts
Cost: $210 per term. This amount will be billed to students’ school fees account.
When: Term 3
Trials: Term 2. More info here once available, a Notice will be sent via PLACES.
Training: A weekday before or after school. More info here once available, a Notice will be sent via PLACES.
Game Days: Draws will be available via the Spawtz website
Saturdays, 1-1.5 hours between 8.00 am and 12.00 pm, various venues around Sydney, own transport arrangements are to be made
If a Frensham team is in your draw, you will have only one weekend where you will be required to travel to Mittagong. Any Frensham team who makes the semi-finals or final will travel to Sydney for these.
Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the game start time (top teams might be communicated an earlier warm-up time)
