Olympiad Training Physics

The Olympiad Training in Physics will prepare students for the Physics Olympiad Examination, one of five examinations  that will be conducted at school in August. It is recommended that students select one (maybe two) of the Olympiad Training subjects on offer: Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The exams are two hours in duration, very challenging and designed for top performing students. They will test knowledge, critical thinking and problem solving skills. Attempting one or more of the exams in Year 10 will provide valuable experience for a second attempt in Year 11. Students may also elect to attempt the Earth & Environmental Olympiad Examination; there is no training for this subject. Students who perform in the top 24 in each subject are invited to attend the Australian Science Olympiad Summer School in Canberra, a 15-day residential program. The very best Summer School students are selected to represent Australia at the International Science Olympiads. Students in Year 10 may also sit for the Junior Olympiad Examination.
