Parent Communication with Sports Staff

We have an extensive team of dedicated, professional and passionate sports staff who are committed to helping every girl achieve her personal best on the sporting field. 

The first point of contact is the Sports Coordinator for the relevant sport. Our sports staff can be contacted by parents via their PLC Sydney email or the Sports Office phone. The contact details of Sports Department Staff can be found on the Sports Staff page (accessed via the Sports Section of the Co-Curricular tile on  PLACES).

Our staff manage communications via their email during their work hours. Some staff who work outside regular hours or at offsite venues can be contacted by parents by mobile phone for urgent matters. For matters that are not urgent, communication is to be via email or the office contact number.

PLC Sydney Sport information is regularly communicated and available across a number of school platforms. 

PLACES

The Sport page on the Co-Curricular tile on PLACES contains general information for each school sport. Registrations for sport can also be accessed via Clipboard. 

Notices 

Alerts to upcoming sporting events, information, or the opening of termly sport registration are communicated via Notices in your Weekly Digest. Keep a lookout for Sport Notices each week.

Clipboard

Clipboard is the online platform that is used for the day-to-day management of sport, including: 

• Specific sports event information

• Registrations and payments

• Training schedule 

• Fixtures information, including venues, times, and cancellations

Information regarding access to Clipboard, and set-up information, is available on the Co-Curricular Tile on PLACES.

Handbooks

Each PLC Sydney Sport Program has a Handbook which contains important information about the program. This is emailed directly to those registered in the program. Termly Team Sport Handbooks can also be accessed on the Sport Information Pages on the Co-Curricular tile on PLACES.

Student Absence from Sport 

Students are expected to attend all training sessions and matches once they are registered and committed to a sport. In the event of illness, absence from sport is to be communicated directly to the Sports Coordinator as soon as possible. Students who are part of a 1sts teams, have additional requirements.
