Short Story Competition
The Countess of Jersey Short Story Competition was part of Power-up Wednesdays in Term 2. Students were invited to submit a short story of up to 1000 words on the theme 'crossing the line'. Budding writers could use this theme in any way they liked, either literally or symbolically, or as a springboard for getting started. There were two categories within the competition: Years 7– 8 and Years 9–10. Stories were judged by a panel of teachers headed by Ms Veronica Trainor, Director of Language and Literature.
