Chess Club

PLC Sydney has several opportunities for Junior School students to engage in Chess: Evandale Chess, Interschool Chess and Interhouse Chess. Interhouse Chess is open to students in Years 3-6.

Chess Club is for Year 7 – 12 students of all levels. Assistance is available to learn the moves. Chess Club is also the place to develop strategies and skills for competitive matches. In Term 3, it is anticipated that teams will be entered in the IGSA Challenge.

Evandale Chess

Membership: Years 1-2

Cost: Nil

When: Terms 3 and 4, one lunchtime per week

Interschool Chess

Membership: Years 3-6

Cost: Nil

When: Mid Term 1 to mid Term 4, Tuesday lunchtimes. Interschool games take place after school on Fridays in Term 2.
