Badminton is a fun and rapidly growing sport in New South Wales. PLC Sydney Senior School students can compete in the Harden Classic and the IGSA Badminton competitions.
The IGSA Championship Badminton Competition is our main competition, held in Term 1 and played across the Sydney region. During Term 4, PLC Sydney takes part in the IGSA Inviational IGSA season.
The Meriden Competition is by invitation only for Years 6–12, held on Friday nights in Term 3. Students who participated in the Term 1 IGSA competition may sign up.
The Harden Classic, named after our retired Head of Sport Ms Belinda Harden who introduced badminton to PLC Sydney in 2009, is a PLC Sydney-only competition held once a year. It features our top Year 7, Junior, and Senior players competing to be crowned champion.
